Tint film fails over time. UV bleaches the film purple, edges peel, bubbles form, and the glue underneath gets stickier rather than weaker. Trying to remove it yourself often ends with a damaged defroster, scratched glass, or hours of frustration.

Tint Removal FAQ

Common questions about removing window tint.

How long does tint removal take?

Side windows typically take 20 to 30 minutes per pane. Rear windows are slower because of defroster lines. Most full removals take 2 to 3 hours total.

Will it damage the defroster?

Done properly, no. Heat is applied carefully and the film is peeled in a way that does not lift defroster lines. Aggressive scraping is what damages defrosters; we do not do that.

Do you re-tint after removal?

We do not install new tint, but we work with reputable Hamilton tinters who can install on the freshly cleaned glass. We are happy to recommend someone.
