What ceramic coating actually does
Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that bonds chemically with your car’s paint at the molecular level. Once cured it forms a transparent protective layer that is harder, smoother, and more chemically resistant than the factory clear coat alone. The result is paint that repels water, resists UV damage, shrugs off bug splatter and bird droppings, and stays glossier for longer.
Most Hamilton drivers think of ceramic as a luxury add-on. It is not. For anyone keeping a car beyond five years, ceramic is the single most cost-effective way to preserve resale value. The cost amortises across years of easier cleaning and a paint surface that does not oxidise.
Our ceramic process
Every ceramic application starts with a thorough decontamination wash, claybar treatment, and either a single-stage or multi-stage paint correction depending on the existing condition. Skipping this step is the most common mistake we see. A poorly prepped car gets the swirl marks sealed in for years. We do not cut corners here.
Once the paint is corrected, we apply ceramic in a temperature-controlled bay, in thin even layers, by hand. The car then cures for 24 to 48 hours before pickup. We provide a written aftercare guide and the pH-neutral shampoo your car will need going forward.
