Three months is the realistic average. Cars parked outside in the sun lose wax faster (around 2 months). Garaged cars can hold it for 4 to 5 months.
Wax is short-term protection (3 months) at a much lower price. Ceramic is long-term protection (2 to 5 years) at a higher upfront cost. Wax is the right call if you want short-term gloss; ceramic is the right call if you want lasting protection.
